Move money from your wallet to your bank

Your sales are already in your own wallet. Sell the USDC for dollars through an exchange or your wallet app, then withdraw it to your bank.

Your money is already yours

Every Railbed sale settles as USDC on Polygon to the payout wallet you control. Railbed never holds or moves the money, so there is no payout to request in the dashboard. USDC is a digital dollar: to spend it as ordinary money, you sell it for dollars, or your local currency, and withdraw it to your bank through a service that works where you live.

There are two common ways to do that:

  • An exchange account in your name. You send the USDC from your wallet to the exchange, sell it there and withdraw to your bank. Coinbase and Kraken, for example, accept USDC on Polygon and pay out to bank accounts in many countries.
  • Your wallet app's Sell or Cash out. Some wallet apps sell through a built-in provider and pay your bank directly. MetaMask, for example, offers Sell in the US, the UK and parts of Europe; the coins and networks it accepts depend on your country.

Each service shows its fees and how long the bank transfer takes before you confirm. Moving money never needs your recovery phrase or private key: never type them into a website or give them to anyone.

Send USDC to an exchange and withdraw

  1. Open an account with an exchange that pays out to banks where you live, and finish its account setup.
  2. On the exchange, choose to deposit or receive USDC, and choose Polygon as the network. Copy the deposit address it shows.
  3. In your wallet app, choose to send USDC, check that the network is Polygon, and paste the exchange's address.
  4. For your first transfer, send a small amount and wait until it shows on the exchange. Then send the rest.
  5. Sell or convert the USDC to dollars, or to your local currency.
  6. Withdraw the money to your bank account.

Sell from your wallet app

  1. Open your wallet app and choose USDC on Polygon.
  2. Look for Sell or Cash out. If your app doesn't offer it where you live, use an exchange instead.
  3. Choose your bank account and the amount, and follow the provider's steps.

If something goes wrong

Your wallet won't send the USDC. Sending on Polygon needs a small network fee. Some wallet apps, such as MetaMask, can take it from your USDC; others need a little POL, Polygon's own token, in the wallet first.

The deposit hasn't shown on the exchange. On Home, choose Verify balance to open your wallet on the public explorer, and find the transfer. Send its transaction link and the deposit address you used to the exchange's support.

Some payments arrived as another coin or on another network. If you turned on crypto payments, buyers can pay in USDT or on other networks, to the same wallet. Send each coin on the network it arrived on, to an exchange address made for that coin and network.
